My spring/summer bucket list

Spring has finally arrived here in the UK, and I’m not sure I could be any happier about it! After the longest, darkest, trickiest winter, the prospect of longer days, a little more freedom and some hope on the horizon feels like magic.

Given that we spent most of spring and summer locked down last year, I really want to try and make the most of the seasons this year, and to help me do that, I’ve put a little bucket list together. I’m hoping that it will help me to stay intentional in the coming months and make the most of all the goodness spring and summer have to offer!

Make up for lost time with friends and family

The first point on my list is definitely the most important! Like most people, I’ve really missed my loved ones this past year, and I’m looking forward to making up for lost time in the coming months. I really want to be present for this time and enjoy it, as I have so sorely missed making memories with my friends and family.

Enjoy some camping adventures

There’s still quite a lot of uncertainty around what travel will look like this summer in the UK, and so we’ve gone with the safest option, which means plenty of camping adventures! I’m not complaining as I LOVE sleeping under canvas - there’s something so special about waking up in the great outdoors. We’ve got trips booked to some of our favourite parts of the UK and I can’t wait for some mini adventures.

Launch some new things

I’ve spent the first few months of this year squirrelling away behind the scenes on some new projects, and I’m so excited to be able to share them with the world in the coming weeks and months. It feels so good to be back in my business groove after a long winter, and I’m so looking forward to getting stuck into some new stuff.

Take some time off

One of the biggest perks of being a business owner is the flexibility, but I haven’t really had much opportunity to make the most of it over the last year or so. I definitely want to make up for that in the coming months, and one of the ways I’ll be doing that is by taking some time off. We’re hoping to take pretty much the whole of August off so that we can visit family and go on a little holiday, and I know it will be very much enjoyed.

Grow my own veg

We only have a little garden, but last year I managed to find enough space to try my hand at growing our own veg and I really enjoyed it! I definitely want to give it another go this year, and I’ve signed up to Gem’s amazing Patreon for some extra tips and tricks.

Do some jobs around the house

Last on the list is to get some jobs done around the house! I mentioned in last week’s post that we’re hoping to put it on the market later this year, but before we do that there are some bits of DIY and decorating that we want to finish. I’ve been really enjoying ploughing through our list, and hopefully it means we’ll enjoy our space that little bit more while we’re here too.
