A Love Letter To The Women In My Life

As I'm sure many of you know, today marks International Women's Day. I think it's so fab that we have a day dedicated to recongising women and all of their awesomeness and it got me thinking about all of the ace women who have inspired me during my lifetime and what I've learnt from them.
I'm incredibly lucky to have grown up surrounded by strong and determined ladies and I could never underestimate the influence they have had in shaping me into the woman I am today. I wanted to celebrate them in some way, and so I decided to pen a love letter to the women in my life...
To the women in my family
To my Mum, sister, Nans, aunties and cousins - you are all incredible. I know it may seem biased of me to say this, but I have never met anyone stronger or more creative or more passionate than you beautiful women who I am lucky enough to share my blood with.
Every single one of you is living proof that you can have an incredible career and raise a family and execute great ideas and be a kind, thoughtful person, all at the same time. Every single one of you inspires me to be a better person - to stretch myself, to be more patient, to put others before myself.
Your constant cheerleading and unwavering belief in me is the greatest gift I will ever receive and your unconditional love is a safety net that I will never take for granted. You are, quite simply, the best.
To my wonderful friends
Some of you have been in my life for over a decade and some of you I have known for only a few short years, but I'm so proud that I get to call all of you my friends. You are all doing incredible things on a daily basis and you are some of the most wonderful people I know.
You are my rocks, my shoulders to cry on, my partners in crime, and there is no one else that I would have wanted to grow up alongside. I'm so excited to keep sharing life with you guys - the good, the bad and the ugly.
Having you lot as friends makes things way more fun - whether we're trying to relive our teenage years or playing at being sophisticated grown ups, I always have the best time with you. Some of my happiest, most hysterical memories are in your company, and I can't help but smile when I think about how much fun we're still yet to have.
To my kickass internet tribe
I am so, so glad that this little ol' blog has brought you all into my life. You are all total #girlbosses and you inspire me to work harder and dream bigger and keep chasing after those things that other people might find ludicrous.
You've helped me to realise what I'm capable of and your constant support and cheerleading keeps me going when my self belief wavers. Getting to know you all has made my life richer and more exciting, and getting to celebrate and share in your successes gives me so much joy.
I will forever marvel at the fact that the Internet has helped me find such kickass, like minded women to be friends with and I will never stop rooting for your awesomeness.
Happy International Women's Day to you all! I hope you all get to celebrate with the ladies you love <3
