Introducing First 100 Days - helping you make 2020 your best year yet

In a few weeks time it will be January 1st, 2020.

The first day of a brand new year. The first day of a brand new decade. Hands up if you’re determined to get it off to the best possible start?

Yep, me too. I want 2020 to be a year of achievement and success and progress. I’ve got big hopes and dreams and plans, both for my career and my personal life. But I also want 2020 to be a year filled with joy and rest and curiosity. I want it to be a year full of happy memories and creative pursuits and quality time spent with loved ones.

And I don’t believe that those two things have to be mutually exclusive. In fact, I know they don’t have to. Because 2019 has been a year of big achievements for me - I’ve retrained as a life coach, quit my day job, and grown my business into something that is now sustaining me full time. But it’s also been a year filled with travel and hobbies and making time for the things that are most important to me.

Yes, I’ve pivoted my career this year. Yes, I’ve made more money through my business than I could have dreamed of back in January. Yes, I’ve launched courses and delivered workshops and worked with over 20 1:1 clients. But I’ve also read 85 books this year. I’ve knitted a scarf. I’ve ticked loads of new hikes off my list. I’ve hung out with my nephew every week. I’ve tried out 30 new recipes.

Want to know how I’ve managed to find that balance between progress and joy? Small, daily, focused actions.

I wholeheartedly believe that making progress isn’t about finding some magic productivity formula. It’s not about bullying yourself into doing the things on your to do list. It’s not about trying to optimise every single minute of your diary.

It’s about setting goals that fill you with excitement and energy. It’s about showing up each and everyday and doing something that moves the needle. It’s about learning to listen to yourself so that you can hear what your gut is telling you to do next. It’s about making a habit out of taking action.

And that’s exactly what First 100 Days will help you do.

What is First 100 Days?

First 100 Days is a project designed to help you take action that drives you forwards (both professionally and personally), with 15 minutes of concentrated effort each day. That way, you can spend less time procrastinating and feeling guilty, and more time doing the things that bring you joy.

It’s been created to help you get 2020 off to the best possible start, by spending the first 100 days building great habits, raising your positivity and taking small daily actions that move you closer to your goals.

How does it work?

When you sign up to First 100 Days, you’ll be invited to join a private Facebook group. Starting on Wednesday 1st January, I will share a new prompt in the group every day for 100 days, finishing on Thursday 9th April.

The prompts will vary each day, but will include questions to ponder, worksheets to complete, and mini lists to make. They are designed to help you reflect on the year gone by, set a vision for the year ahead, and start taking action to move you closer to that vision. Each prompt will take less than 15 minutes to complete, meaning they can be easily slotted into your day.

Each week the prompts will be based around a core theme (for example, reflecting, dreaming, mapping out the year, etc) which I will share with you in an email each Sunday. The email will contain some context around the theme, and an audio episode where I’ll chat to you about how the theme relates to success and progress and what you can expect from the week ahead. A sort of mini podcast episode just for First 100 Days project members, if you will.

How much does it cost?

First 100 Days costs £35. That’s just 35p a day!!!

What exactly do you get?

FAQs

I took part in #100daysto2020, is this just the same thing?

No! While the format is similar to #100daysto2020, the weekly themes will be different. First 100 Days is rooted in planning for the new year and decade ahead, so will involve more reflection, dreaming, and mapping out the year ahead.

However, if you enjoyed the format of #100daysto2020, I think you’ll like this too!

Do I have to have Facebook to take part in this project?

Unfortunately, yes. There isn’t an alternative platform out there at the moment that allows me to share the daily prompts while also getting to chat and support you guys in a group format.

I’m already super busy, will I be able to keep up?

Yes! The prompts have been designed to easily slip into your day to day life, so they won’t take a huge amount of time. Small daily action can create big change, and that’s what we’ll be harnessing with this project.

I’m not based in the UK, can I still take part?

100% YES! No elements of this project are impacted by timezone, so as long as you have access Facebook, you should be able to join in from wherever you are.
