I'm back! (with some exciting news...)

Well, hello everyone!

Gosh, it feels strange to be sat down and typing to you all again. This is by far the longest blogging break I’ve ever taken, and I’ve really missed opening up a blank Google doc and pouring my thoughts out onto the page. I’m so glad to be back, and I’m so glad to be sharing so much exciting new stuff with you all!

So, where shall we start? Well if you’re sat reading this blog post, you might have noticed that things are looking a little different around here on my website. One of the biggest projects I’ve been working on behind the scenes this summer was a proper rebrand. I wanted to create a cohesive look and feel across all elements of my business, from this website to my podcast, right through to Joy School.

I worked with the brilliant Rachel Cook on the design side of things, and she somehow managed to take the vision I had in my head, and turn it into something that just felt so me. I’ve never invested in design for my blog or website before, but it’s so true that sometimes getting a professional involved can make ALL the difference - I hope you love the new look as much as I do!

Rather excitingly, my podcast, Practical Positivity, also makes a comeback today with two brand new episodes for you to dive into. The usual solo pep talk episodes will be coming your way every Monday, but I’m thrilled to share that there will also be an interview episode every Thursday too.

I’ve spoken to some incredibly inspiring guests, and I can’t wait for you to hear all the advice and wisdom that they have to share with you. It’s been so much fun to talk all things joy and positivity with some of my favourite people to follow online - make sure you’re subscribed so that you get the first interview episode as soon as it goes live on Thursday.

Another thing I’m really excited to share is that Joy School is back open for enrolment! I absolutely loved leading the first cohort of students through the course this summer, and I’ve taken on board all of their feedback to make Joy School even more relevant, valuable and useful.

Some of the tweaks I’ve made include creating a whole workbook to run alongside the course, as well as planning even more content for our community group so that we can all make the most of our time working together. Plus, there’s a brand new module all about finding your purpose, so if you’re feeling a little bit stuck right now, Joy School might be just what you’re looking for.

What else have I been up to this summer? Well, I’ve been working hard on my Advanced Life Coaching qualification, and working with some pretty amazing clients to help them make changes to their life that feel truly joyful. I had lots of fun working on a collaboration with an awesome indie brand that I’ll be sharing later this week - I think you’re gonna love it, so keep your eyes peeled!

Oh, and I made a pretty huge decision… As of November I’ll be transitioning out of full time work and running this business as my proper job! It’s something that I’m sure I’ll talk about in more detail soon, but it feels like a truly joyful move, and I can’t wait to get started. Plus it means that I’ll be able to take on more 1:1 coaching clients, host more workshops, and create even more free content for you all. Let me know what you’d love to see

Phew, I *think* that’s it for now. No wonder I’ve been feeling tired recently! Do let me know what you think of my new branding, and if you get a chance to listen to the new podcast episodes today then let me know your thoughts. There’s plenty more blog content winging it’s way to you soon, with another brand new post up first thing tomorrow - it really does feel so good to be in the swing of writing these posts for you again.

Thank you so much for being patient with me this summer - I hope you can see that while I might not have been sharing as much as usual, I’ve been a busy little bee behind the scenes. I’m so excited about pouring even more time and energy into this business, and hopefully helping even more of you create joyful lives on your own terms.

Now tell me, how has your summer been? What was the highlight?
