What do you want your life to look like when this is all over?

“I’m scared of the lockdown ending because I don’t want my life to go back to how it was before.”

That’s a sentence I’ve heard time and time again over the last couple of weeks. I’ve heard it in coaching calls. I’ve heard it in conversations with friends and family. Heck, I’ve even heard it running through my own mind a couple of times.

It’s a sentence that usually comes with a heavy dose of guilt. Because of course we want the lockdown to end - we want the health crisis to slow down, we want to see our loved ones again, we want life to feel easier for the people we care about. We want to feel excited and hopeful and optimistic once more.

But what we’re scared of is life going back to the same way it was before. Because whilst the last few months have been disruptive and challenging and heartbreaking for so many of us, what they’ve given us is an opportunity to take a step back from our everyday and start to see what was and wasn’t working for us.

We’ve been able to try on a slower pace of life. To spend more time with our immediate families. To reconnect with nature. To prioritise our good habits. To try new recipes and read more books and actually get a full night’s sleep. We’ve had the time and space to explore those creative projects we’ve always talked about, or to take up a new hobby that feels rewarding. We’ve had a level of freedom that we’ve never experienced before.

And so many of us are scared of losing that. We’ve had a taste of something different -  something slower, something simpler - and we want to learn from that. We don’t want life to go back to how it was before - we want to create something new, something joyful, something that truly works for us.

But how do we start? How do we take the many lockdown learnings and reflections and lightbulb moments and turn that into practical, tangible action? Well, that’s where I can help...

I’ll be hosting a 90 minute workshop, during which I’ll share framework to help you process everything you’ve learned in the last few months, as well as lots of practical tools and exercises to help you get clear on how you’d like your post lockdown life to look.

After watching the workshop and working through the accompanying workbook, you’ll know what your biggest priorities are, you’ll have clarity around what boundaries you need to put in place to protect those priorities, and instead of fearing the return to normality, you’ll feel excited about creating your most joyful life.
